The log file
Duplicate Cleaner’s activity is logged to a local text file. This is stored in your Documents
folder by default, as Duplicate Cleaner 6 Log.txt.
The location can be changed in General settings, and logging can be turned off or on with Log Events to File.
Events logged include:
- All scans, with their settings, criteria, dates and times, and a summary of the results.
- All deleted, moved, copied, renamed and linked files and folders.
- Imported and exported scans and virtual folders.
- Files and folders skipped because of the Ignore list, if you asked for them.
- Other error and troubleshooting information.
This log file is stored locally for your reference only. No information is sent anywhere.
