Working with the results
When a scan finishes, its results appear on the scan’s results tabs:
- Duplicate files - the main list of duplicates, arranged in groups. This is where most of your work is done.
- Remaining files - files that have no duplicates, for folders where you asked for them.
- Duplicate folders - folders whose contents are duplicated elsewhere (Pro).
These tools help you decide which files to mark for removal:
- Selection Assistant - mark files automatically by rules, such as “all but the newest file in each group”.
- Location marking - mark files by where their duplicates are.
- Find in list - search the list.
- Filtering the lists - focus on part of the list at a time.
- Files list context menu - the right-click menu, with many marking and filtering commands.
- Image preview - view and compare the images in a group.
- Media player - listen to and watch audio and video files.
When your files are marked, use the file removal panels to act on them.
